Polycystic kidney disease is an inherited kidney disease, 1 in every 1,000 live births. It effects 600,000 people in the Untied States. This disease causes cysts to grow inside the kidneys which also causes, abnormal growth of the kidneys. Polycystic kidney disease can lead to high blood pressure, and it can also cause urinary tract infection, kidney stones, blood in the urine, and pain in the back area.
Polycystic disease has two types of Polycystic disease. The two types of Polycystic disease are the following:
1. Autosomal Dominant: Patients that are affected by this disease, there patients are usually not affect by this disease.
2. Autosomal Recessive: Patients that have this type of disease, only one patent with the gene can be found.
